Synopsis

At the Tibetan Monastery in Northern India, the teenage monk Jigme is not a monk by choice, but he is dreaming to have a normal life.

One day when Jigme is in a train with his Indian friend Raju doing bootpolishing, he meets a television actor who tells him how to become a successful actor-

“You have to be able to dance, fight, drive a car, fly an airplane and most importantly speak English!”

Now at the monastery they don’t teach English. And while Jigme is trying to complete his 5-step ‘actor training’ to get away from the monastery, the Monastery Chairman puts him in charge of the little monks who are all orphans.

Jigme hates this job at first, but is then becoming friends with the little boys. As Jigme’s English improves, he grows up as a person and finds his meaning in life at the place where he his right now-
